The Comedy Roast

Porthleven's famous annual comedy roast dinner returns.
Ticket includes admission for one person to The Comedy Roast located in The Chef's Theatre.
Includes a 2 course meal and entertainment from resident comedians. For more information please see our website.
Doors are at 15:15. Food is served from 15:30 so please do not be late.
Event ends at 18:30.
Entertainment may contain profanity not suitable for children.

Saucy Cupboard Cook-Off with chefs Guy Owen and Chris Eden

Saturday 25 April - 12:30pm

Hosted by Ed Hughes, join two of the South West’s top chefs - Chris Eden and Guy Owen - for a lively and flavour-packed session in the Chef’s Table.
In this relaxed small group session, Chris and Guy will share their go-to tips for creating delicious sauces, marinades and fresh summer salads, perfect for elevating everyday cooking. Along the way, they’ll talk through flavour combinations, kitchen shortcuts and the ingredients they always keep on hand.
To finish, things heat up with a fun “cupboard cook-off” challenge, where the chefs must create something delicious from a surprise bag of ingredients. Expect creativity, quick thinking and plenty of laughs as the clock ticks down

Masterclasses will take place in the Chef's Table venue next door to The Lime Kiln on Mount Pleasant Road.

Knife Skills & Sharpening with Dan Maltwood, Pareusi Knives

Sunday 26 April - 11:00

A sharp knife is the most important tool in any kitchen. In this practical masterclass, Dan, founder of Pareusi Knives, shares the essential skills every cook should know to get the most from their blades.
Learn the fundamentals of safe and efficient knife handling, including grip, control and classic cutting techniques used by professional chefs. Dan will also demonstrate how to properly sharpen and maintain a knife, explaining the tools, angles and simple routines that keep blades performing at their best.
Whether you're a keen home cook or looking to refine your kitchen skills, this session will give you the confidence to cut cleaner, work faster and care for your knives properly. Bring your curiosity and leave with skills you’ll use every time you step into the kitchen.
NOTE: Knives are provided, please do not bring knives to the event.

What is the Handling Charge for?

To ensure tickets are delivered safely and securely and to keep the price as low as possible for you, the ticket buyer, Porthleven Food Festival generally uses our E-ticket system unless otherwise stated.

For this service we charge a small Handling Fee to cover the debit/credit card processing fees, customer services, processing and distribution of tickets and our secure server costs. We always try to keep these costs to an absolute minimum. If you feel at any time that our prices are not fair or competitive we'd be happy to hear from you.

Delivery

If you have ordered physical paper tickets there is a further Delivery cost added to cover the delivery of your order through the Royal Mail network.

We always endeavour to keep these costs as low as possible to merely cover the costs of postage. We only charge you one Delivery cost per order so if there is a big group of you recommend purchasing larger amounts in one order.

When you purchase tickets through Porthleven Food Festival, the full face value of the ticket is shown. This price is the price set by the event organiser and we pay this full amount to the organiser without any deductions.
